Since the engine never again has to operate with contaminated oil and the capacity of the lubricating system is significantly increased, engine life is dramatically extended and both oil consumption and operating temperatures are reduced.
With the Filmax oil refiner, the 1,000 hour minimum oil drain intervals are being easily obtained and 1,500 to 2,000 hour documented oil drain intervals are becoming common. Refining Systems, Inc. guarantees you will go at least 1,000 hours between oil drains without an oil or *filter change or oil refiner element replacement. A customer supplied oil analysis program is necessary during this timeframe to assure proper condition of the oil.
*Initially, some very dirty, sludgy engines may require one or two element changes to clean out the engine before the initial 1,000 hour oil drain interval can be achieved. Once the sludge is removed from the system, only one element will be required to obtain each additional 1,000+ hour drain interval. |

The Filmax Industrial Auxiliary Engine Oil Refiner is the State of the Art low-flow, high-efficiency system that continuously cleans and refines engine oil to greatly extend oil and engine life. Since the engine will never again run on contaminated oil, engine life is dramatically increased due to greatly reduced engine wear. The system removes all solid contaminants down to the 1 - 3 micron range, all water and acids while leaving the additive package, total base number and viscosity within acceptable and favorable service parameters. The unit is exceptionally efficient at removing fuel soot and carbon as well as wear metals and silica in the 1 - 3 micron range. Oil drain intervals are safely and easily extended by a guaranteed minimum of four times through the use of this system. Proven results are routinely monitored by a good, consistent oil analysis program.
This oil refining system is designed for large and small marine, industrial and locomotive diesel engines and uses engine oil pressure to force the oil through the unit while maintaining engine oil pressure, volume and flow. The system also increases the engine lube oil system capacity by approximately 3 - 20 gallons and acts as an excellent lube oil cooler or heat exchanger.
Filmax oil refining systems are utilized primarily by industry to reduce engine component wear, insure and safeguard against the effects of irregular or missed maintenance intervals, protect equipment against unintentional system contaminations due to human error, have the option to safely extend oil drain intervals and to effectively reduce equipment downtime, labor and waste disposal costs.
This system is also extremely effective in removing water and solid contaminants from hydraulic fluid in large and small hydraulic systems. Suspended wear metals, hose material, dirt and moisture are easily extracted from circulating hydraulic fluid while the system is in use resulting in significant reduction of system component wear and failure. Hydraulic oil refining units are available in both portable and stationary designs. Self-powered electric, pneumatic or gasoline driven hydraulic and engine units are also available as well. Self-powered units don't use engine or hydraulic system pressure to force the oil through the refiner, thus pressure sensitive systems may also be equipped with a Filmax Oil Refiner.
