THE
AIR INTAKE SYSTEM
|
|
Much
of a diesel engine's successful performance depends on a clean and
efficient air-intake system.
Too often, these systems receive insufficient priority

in maintenance and service because the problems
they create do not immediately affect engine performance. Nevertheless,
any inefficiency causes unnecessary wear and strain on engine components.
|
|
THE
PURPOSE OF THE AIR-INTAKE SYSTEM IS TO:
|
|
|
*
Supply clean, filtered air to each cylinder as required for complete
and efficient combustion
*
Supply air for scavenging
*
Reduce {silence} the engine noise.
|
|
|
Because
of the many different and often hostile environments in which a
diesel engine performs, supplying a sufficient amount of clean,
filtered air can be an expensive challenge.
 |
|
Eject
the dirt before it plugs up your air filter! No maintenance
required.
|
The
Enginaire Precleaner
is the finest engine
airintake precleaner available. The "Enginaire Precleaner"
greatly extends the life of your air filters by utilizing centrifugal
force to remove up to 90% of airborne contaminants before they reach
the air filter element.
In addition to extending air filter life,
the "Enginaire Precleaner" also boosts engine power, saves
expensive fuel and reduces oil consumption.

Throughout
the entire life of the engine, these centrifugal air intake
precleaners continually throw dirt out before it hits the
engine. These units cost at best a few hundred dollars.
Medium to large air filters are around $50. to $70. If you
can extend the filters life by 4 5 times (which
is easy), you will have already paid for your unit and they
come with a lifetime warranty so you cant lose!.
